WHAT IS VEDIC ART?

Vedic Art does not teach you how to paint. Vedic Art is a method to help you to remember how to paint. And not only to remember how to paint and create art… From the beginning, when we first hear of the 17 principles of Vedic Art, we tap into the nature of existence, the story of life: where we have come from and where we are going.

Vedic Art is a navigation map. Use the compass you have in your mind and find the way to the chamber of peace in your heart. Then, when you dip your brush in the light, the space and the bliss, eternity will be pictured.

When you enter your work of art — your self-referential dialogue — you will find the code of how life can be lived and how a piece of art can open the doors of heaven and earth.

Vedic Art summer courses in Sweden

The founder of Vedic Art, Curt Källman, began teaching his courses in the 1990s on the beautiful island of Öland, on the east coast of Sweden. Since then, the Vedic Art courses have been held every summer, attracting thousands of participants from all over the world.

Join us and our inspiring community of painters on this “island of the sun and winds”, experience the wonderful light that this stunning setting provides, and connect with your own powerful creativity through the 17 principles of Vedic Art.

A warm welcome to you all!

/Johannes Källman, the organiser of the Vedic Art courses on Öland and the son of founder Curt Källman.

Course programme
At the Vedic Art centre on Öland you can participate in a number of courses. You can choose between the Vedic Art foundation courses, continuation courses and Vedic Art teacher training. You are welcome to book as an individual participant as well as in a group.

The Vedic Art foundation course at Gamlegärde Gård
The foundation courses run from 7 July to 4 August 2012 and are designed as an introduction for those with no previous experience of Vedic Art. The foundation course starts on Saturday at 7pm with a meeting, and runs for one week.

The Vedic Art courses are taught in Swedish, please contact us to find out if there is an opportunity to have the teaching in English during the week you wish to attend.

Continuation courses at Svibo and Enetri
The continuation courses run from 30 June to 18 August 2012, Saturday to Saturday, starting with an introductory meeting at 6pm in your chosen venue.

The continuation courses are aimed at those who have completed at least 15 of the 17 principles of Vedic Art.

You can choose between two venues for the continuation courses, either Svibo or Enerti. Svibo is located near a grocery store, and Enetri has sea views. Both venues are light, spacious and beautiful. You will be allocated an easel and there is space for large-scale painting.

Teacher training at Parboäng
The teacher training runs from 30 June to 18 August 2012 and takes about one week.
