Foundation Course

During the Foundation Course week we pass the 17 Vedic principles of art and life. The starting point is your own inner motivation. You put pen to paper and then the creation process goes into full expansion. It is very simple. The only thing that can be a bit difficult is to stop painting! You always book the entire course going for a week from Saturday to Saturday.
The Foundation Course is for you who have not done Vedic Art courses before or only gone through parts of the basic course. Foundation courses on Öland always follow the original program that the founder of Vedic Art, Curt Källman, created. No prior art experience is required to attend the course.
Feel free to bring your own painting material or visit the local Vedic Art Artist Shop. Colors and painting materials are not included in the course fee. Painting material such as acrylic paint, canvases, brushes and other tools can thus be bought on site. Källman’s own wonderful tempera paint will also be available for purchase. All you actually need to bring is yourself!
Course fee: €470. The course includes access to the Art Studio from Saturday night to Saturday morning.
Continuation Course
19-26 July 2025 with Maureen Voigt

The Continuation Course is for you who have completed the whole Foundation Course and learned all the 17 principles. You can join Continuation Courses as many times as you like. You always book the entire course week from Saturday to Saturday. You are welcome to stay for as many weeks as you want! You will have plenty of time to enjoy the Island of Öland. Completing the Continuation course is required for applying for the Teacher Training.

Painting material such as acrylic paint, canvases, brushes and other tools can thus be bought on site. Källman’s own wonderful tempera paint will also be available for purchase. Freedom Moksha
12-20 July 2024 with JOHANNES KÄLLMAN

Liberate yourself and become freer i art and life! ! We review the main reasons why we feel limited in our painting process and explore how we can remove these limitations! Art as a key to a freer Life! Moksha is the concept of ultimate freedom and liberation, central to Vedic philosophy. This course is for students who have completed the Foundation Course in Vedic Art. The course is developed by Curt Källman.

The Creator Within

The Creator – Brahman is our driving force. Atman is the infinity of Art and Life. Inner resources and a strong sense of creativity will bring out the “creator” in us! The additions teach us how to use our own unique potential to live a more creative life. How we use art and the Seventeen Principles to free ourselves from stress and limitations, to live here and now, and thereby find the joy of living and creating. During this course we go deeper to access awareness of our desire to create, the creative processes and the powerful forces in art and life. This course is for students who have completed the Foundation Course in Vedic Art. The course is developed by Curt Källman. This Course is for you who have completed the whole Foundation Course and learned all the 17 principles.

Stay longer for veterans
Discount for longer stays
For those of you who regularly participate in courses for at least three weeks each summer. During October 2024, we offer you the opportunity to apply for reduced price for three weeks of course participation with studio from July 12 to August 2, 2025. The application is possible until the end of October. The number of places is limited. The offer does not give access to sculpture courses or teacher training.
Our full week courses – start and end times
All our course levels have start up meetings on Saturdays at 7:00 PM. Check in at your studio space on Saturday after 1 PM. The lectures are held on Sunday-Friday. Departure time is on Friday night or Saturday morning before 11:00 AM.
Our International Art Studio is located in the Village Näsby - close to the ocean. Free access to the Art Studio is included Saturday-Saturday. Our courses are held during a period of one week. You find the prices in the course programs below.
Artist material
All kinds of artist material is available for purchase at our shop in Gamlegärde. Located 5 kilometers from our course venue. We offer artist canvas, acrylic paint, painting brushes and more. We accept credit card and debit card.
